Don't just live with back pain. Explore Minimally Invasive options.
When nonsurgical options fail to provide relief from back or neck pain symptoms, minimally invasive surgery may be the next step.

This is often a a sign of spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the tunnels where the nerves travel through the spine. Contact our stenosis specialist.

Your doctor has informed you that you need spine surgery
Let us give you a second opinion. A large number of the patients we have successfully treated using minimally invasive surgery were initially advised by other centers that open spine surgery was their only option. Start with a consultation.
You've tried conservative treatments like chiropractic or physical therapy but they did not relieve pain
Although non-surgical options are a great first step, sometimes they don't provide permanent pain relief or increased function. Minimally invasive surgery may be needed to address the underlying structural source of the problem. Schedule a consultation.
Why it's important to choose minimally invasive treatments options...
We understand the significant negative impact back or neck pain could have on quality of life. At San Jose Neurospine, our goal is to get our patients back to enjoying life using minimally invasive endoscopic techniques that involve the use of tiny incisions and muscle sparing methods to treat the spinal problem.
Using advanced surgical tools called "tubular retractors" we are able to operate through an opening as small as a dime, compared to open spine surgery that requires an incision of a at least few inches.
Open Spine Surgery
- 4-5 inch incision
- Muscles are cut and damaged
- 5-7 day hospital stay
- >6 month recovery in most cases
- Severe post-op pain
- Increased blood loss
- As high as 10-15% infection rate
- Large scar

Getting back to a pain free life
Colleen first noticed something was wrong when she experienced tingling and numbness in her leg while on vacation in Vancouver and continuously had to stop and rest, hindering her trip. As time went on, her leg became more painful, so painful that she had to carry a folding stool with her at all times so she could sit down and rest her leg. An MRI determined it was her lower back that was causing her leg pain.
After injections and pain creams were unsuccessful, Colleen visited San Jose Neurospine where she received a Minimally Invasive procedure to alleviate her back pain. Colleen is now back to a pain free life.
